Tiny Product. Huge Project.
THE PROJECT
In March of 2015, Samsung Electronics asked ATOMIC D to brand and launch a revolutionary new IoT module - a tiny computer that makers and OEM's could use to build new IoT products. The project requirement included naming the product, the complete visual identity, as well as producing photography, packaging, developer website, explainer animations, designing their booth at IoT World, creative for multiple digital and social marketing campaigns, and oh yeah… creating a mascot!

THE APPROACH
With just a little more than 6-weeks to pull it all off, we only had one option to make it all happen... good ol’fashioned hard work. Over the next 6-weeks we camped out at Samsung to make sure we had people on the front lines as initiatives developed. It took a lot of late nights, but by May 12th, we had everything wrapped up, just in time for the conference.
THE RESULTS
All the hard work paid off and the launch went without a hitch. The Artik booth was the dominant presence at IoT World and traffic to the Artik developer website hit more than 34,000 unique visits on day one. Pre-orders of the product exceeded goals by nearly 700% by the end of the second day, selling out of the entire product inventory. And hundreds of developers signed up to start building with the product.
